A few comments. First, I wonder what you could do with video editing to make ANY candidate look stupid. That said, shouldn't we give McCain a break on some of his similarities to Bush? He has easily been the biggest thorn in Bush's side over the last eight years, and many liberals considered him (long before the general election) their favorite Republican. Wouldn't most reasonable people expect McCain to speak to conservatives during the primary, and then be his more moderate self during the general election? Hasn't Barack Obama been doing the same thing with campaign finance and Iraq?
This blog will host a continuing dialogue regarding national politics and political communication theory. Its creation was inspired by the Spring 2008 Political Communication graduate seminar at the University of Kansas but will assuredly transcend this purpose and earn international acclaim for the insight contained herein. Enjoy the reading and post freely, even if you are not associated with the seminar. After all, what is political communication if not democratic. Ben Warner
